Fading Light

Everywhere I look the light seems to be fading,

Darkness is slowly creeping up wanting to drag me back to where I once was,

Slowly trying to take me over,

It’s taking everything I have to keep it at bay,

Once I walked this long lonely path,

Destroying myself and everything around me,

For a while I was able to escape,

Returning to the Light and defeating my demon’s,

Now it seems,

That the Light is slowly starting to Fade once again,

Pushing me back to that dark void I once escaped,

Begging and pleading with myself,

Don’t go back,

That was never the place to be,

But it seems that everyday that passes,

I am losing the fight bit by bit,

Unless I find something to re-ignite this Light,

I am going to fall back to that place I once knew so well,

As this light dims and continues to falter,

I am victim of my own Fading Light
